Concerts

As detailed below, there are various performance opportunities at Oxenfoord International; some related to ensemble classes and some by tutor recommendation.

Student Showcase Concerts: 7.30pm
We will endeavour to allocate a performance opportunity for each student in one of the three Student Showcase concerts, to include concert and art song repertoire but not operatic arias. The list and order of repertoire will be put on the notice board in the Theatre foyer by 5pm that day. We would ask all students to have at least one piece memorised and ready to perform at the start of the week. Please bring suitable dress should you be allocated to perform in one of the evening concerts.

Be sure not to miss Linda Ormiston’s Lollipops concert, featuring students from the Cabaret Class, followed by a traditional Scottish Ceilidh.

The Chapel Concert, featuring students from the Early Music classes, is a real highlight of the course and many students take part in the Oxenfoord Choir; rehearsing between 5pm-6pm each day and performing a range of choral repertoire in the beautiful setting of the School Chapel.

The course culminates in the Opera Scenes performance – a high point of the week for many.
