As detailed below, there are various performance opportunities at Oxenfoord International; some related to ensemble classes and some by tutor recommendation.
Student Showcase Concerts: 7.30pm
Student Showcase Concerts
Student Showcase concerts can include any concert and art song repertoire, but not operatic arias. We would ask all students to have at least one piece memorised and ready to perform at the start of the week. Although there is no dress code for the concerts, please bring something you feel comfortable performing in.
Be sure not to miss Linda Ormiston’s Lollipops concert, featuring students from the Cabaret Class, followed by a traditional Scottish Ceilidh.
The Chapel Concert, featuring students from the Early Music classes, is a real highlight of the course and many students take part in the Oxenfoord Choir which rehearses between 5pm-6pm each day and performs a range of choral repertoire in the beautiful setting of St Andrews Episcopal Church.
New for 2025 Concert Practice. Perhaps you are new to solo performance, or you are hoping to road test a new piece. Concert Practice is designed to be a smaller, more relaxed environment in which to do so, and will form part of the Lunchtime Masterclass series. A tutor will be assigned and can provide feedback after your performance if you wish.
The course culminates in the Opera Scenes performance – a high point of the week for many.
