A Typical Day at Oxenfoord

Oxenfoord International is much more than just your one-to-one lessons! You can personalise your experience by observing any other classes, book extra classes, join the Oxenfoord Choir, and learn from a variety of workshops and drop-in sessions throughout the week.

Each day begins with a vocal warm up (or piano drop-in for piano students) led by one of our staff members.

After the warmup, one-to-one 30 minute classes are held throughout each day. Most students will be scheduled one of their chosen classes for each day of the course. All students are warmly encouraged to observe as many classes as they can outside of their chosen lessons in order to get the most out of the Oxenfoord experience!

In addition to these lessons, Opera Scenes rehearsals, Song Cycle classes and coachings, and other Ensemble Classes are scheduled throughout the week.

The Oxenfoord Choir will rehearse every day between 5pm-6pm in preparation for the Chapel Concert; all singers are encouraged to attend.

Evenings feature concerts at the Laidlaw Music Centre, with a bar available in the foyer before and after each performance, offering a perfect opportunity to unwind and connect with fellow participants.

As you can see below, each day is filled with opportunities to explore, learn, and make the most of your time at Oxenfoord.
