Oxenfoord: A Legacy of Excellence in Music Education

What is Oxenfoord?

A week-long summer school for singers and pianists, led by Artistic Director Malcolm Martineau. Apply as a solo singer (working with our staff pianists) or as a singer/pianist duo (working together throughout the week)

Other features

Performance Opportunities: each student is invited to perform at least once during the week, either in a student showcase concert or as part of the Song Cycle or Opera Scenes Showcases.
Daily Lunchtime Master Series featuring masterclasses, lectures, and recitals.
Observation: a big part of Oxenfoord is participating through attending other lessons, learning from other classes throughout the week.
Practice Rooms: we have practice rooms available all day for warm-ups, private study, and to consolidate what you’ve learned in your classes.

 

Who can apply?

Unlike other courses, the Oxenfoord ethos is proudly non-competitive and non-exclusive. There are no musical qualifications required and anyone who loves singing is welcome! The age range is 18 years old and upwards.
